CITY OF SANSOM PARK City Council Meeting Agenda SPECIAL CALLED SESSION – 12:00pm Thursday, May 6, 2021 The Sansom Park City Council will hold a Special Called Session at 12:00 p.m. Noon in the City Hall Council Chambers, 5705 Azle Avenue, Sansom Park, Texas on Thursday, May 6, 2021. This meeting is open to the public and subject to the Open Meeting Act. Pursuant to Section 551.071 of the Texas Government Code, the Council may convene an Executive Session at any time during the meeting as deemed necessary to obtain advice from the City Attorney regarding any posted agenda item. SPECIAL CALLED SESSION - 12:00 PM NOON I. CALL TO ORDER / ROLL CALL Call to order and announce a quorum is present. II. NEW BUSINESS 1. Discuss and consider approval of the regular meeting minutes held on April 15, 2021, as presented. 2. Mayor Barnett to issue Certificates of Election for an Unopposed Candidate to City Council Place 3, City Council Place 4, and City Council Place 5, for the May 1, 2021 General Election; and City Secretary to administer the Oath of Office to the candidates. 3. Discuss and consider adoption of Resolution No. 1074-21 canvassing and declaring the results of the May 1, 2021 Special Election on a referendum to determine the Reauthorization of the Local Sales and Use Tax in the City of Sansom Park, Texas at a rate of one-fourth (1/4) of one percent (1%) to continue providing revenue for maintenance and repair of municipal streets for a period of four (4) years. 4. Discuss and consider approval of an Agreement for Engineering Services between the City of Sansom Park and Teague Nall and Perkins, Inc. for construction plans and specifications for the South Skyline Street and Utility Reconstruction Project in the amount of Two Hundred Ninety Seven Thousand Six Hundred Fifty Dollars ($297,650.00). 5. Discuss and consider adoption of Resolution No. 1075-21 a Resolution of the City of Sansom Park, Texas finding that Oncor Electric Delivery Company LLC’s Application for Approval to Amend Its Distribution Cost Recovery Factor to Increase Distribution Rates within the City should be Denied; Authorizing participation with OCSC; Authorizing the hiring of Legal Counsel and Consulting Services; Finding that the City’s reasonable rate case expenses shall be reimbursed by the Company; Finding that the meeting at which this Resolution is passed is open to the public as required by law; Requiring notice of this Resolution to the Company and Legal Counsel.
