CITY OF SANSOM PARK City Council Meeting Agenda SPECIAL CALLED SESSION – 12:30pm Tuesday, May 17, 2022 The Sansom Park City Council will hold a Special Called Session at 12:30 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers, 5705 Azle Avenue, Sansom Park, Texas on Tuesday, May 17, 2022. This meeting is open to the public and subject to the Open Meeting Act. Pursuant to Section 551.071 of the Texas Government Code, the Council may convene an Executive Session at any time during the meeting as deemed necessary to obtain advice from the City Attorney regarding any posted agenda item. SPECIAL CALLED SESSION - 12:30 PM NOON I. CALL TO ORDER / ROLL CALL Call to order and announce a quorum is present. II. PUBLIC HEARINGS 1a. Hold a public hearing to receive public input on the 47th Year Community Development Grant Program (CDBG) for the City of Sansom Park, Texas funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and administered through Tarrant County Community Development and Housing. Project funding will be utilized to make improvements to the City of Sansom Park water system and consider adoption of Resolution No. 1095-22. b. Discuss and consider adoption of Resolution No. 1095-22 a Resolution of the City Council of the City of Sansom Park, Texas, Authorizing the submission of a Texas Community Development Program Application to the 47th Year Tarrant County Development Block Grant and Authorizing the City Administrator to act as the City’s Executive Officer and authorized representative in all matters pertaining to the City’s participation in the Community Development Program. III. III. NEW BUSINESS 1. Mayor Barnett to issue Certificates of Election for an Unopposed Candidate to the Office of Mayor, City Council Place 1, and City Council Place 2 for the May 7, 2022 General Election; and City Secretary to administer the Oath of Office to the candidates. 2. Discuss and consider approval of a bid award for the 47th Year Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), Buchanan Street Water Line Improvement project received from Tejas Commercial Construction, LLC for the total base bid less Deductives A&B amount of $266,309.00.
