How to Submit Written Public Comment Before City Council Meeting: By email to clerk@santaclaraca.gov by 12 p.m. the day of the meeting. Those emails will be forwarded to the Council and will be uploaded to the City Council Agenda as supplemental meeting material. Emails received after the 12 p.m. cutoff time up through the end of the meeting will form part of the meeting record. Members of the public are invited to attend and will be invited to provide input (in-person only) within the context of the training session. 3.1 California's Open Meetings Laws and Ethics Requirements: Training and Discussions on Transparency and Good Conduct for Public Officials in Compliance with AB1234 Department: City Attorney Note for Attendees Seeking AB1234 Credit: Must be present to receive AB1234 credit. Attendees must sign in with staff and be physically present for the duration of the training. Certificates will be issued upon adjournment. RECOMMENDED ACTION: Hear and participate in the training on California's open meeting laws (the Brown Act), ethics requirements, transparency, and good conduct for public officials led by City Attorney Glen Googins and Assistant City Attorney Elizabeth Klotz. 4.
