City of Santa Clara Page 2 of 5 Printed on 6/21/2023 Development Review Hearing Revised Agenda June 28, 2023 1.A 23-791 Action on the construction of a 322 square-foot attached Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) within the rear yard building setback area of a single-family residence located at 720 Woodhams Road (CEQA: Exempt, Section 15301(e) (3) New Construction or Conversion of Small Structure) Recommendation: Approve the use of a CEQA Categorical Exemption Section 15301(e) (3) (New Construction or Conversion of Small Structure) and Approve the attached accessory dwelling unit within the rear setback of a single-family residence located at 720 Woodhams Road, subject to conditions. 1.B 23-792 Action on a second-floor addition and first floor renovation of an existing single story, three bed, two bathroom single-family residence to a two story, four bedroom, four and a half bathroom single-family residence at 257 Rodonovan Drive. (CEQA: Exempt, Section 15301 (e)(1) Existing Structures). Recommendation: Approve the use of CEQA Categorical Exemption Section 15301 (e)(1) Existing structures) and Approve a 741 square foot first floor and 1,169 square foot second floor addition to an existing single story 1,274 square foot three bedroom, two bathroom single-family residence resulting in a two story 3,971 square foot four bedroom, four and a half bathroom single-family residence located at 257 Rodonovan Drive, subject to conditions. 1.C 23-800 Action on a proposed addition to an existing one-story single-family residence resulting in a 2,940 square-foot home at 721 Clyde Avenue (CEQA: Class 1 Categorical Exemption 15301(e)(2), Existing Facilities) Recommendation: Use of Categorical Exemption 15301(e)(2)-Existing Facilities and Approve the Architectural Review of a 1,190 sq.ft. addition to an existing three bedroom / two-bathroom single-family residence with attached 422 sq.ft. two-car garage; resulting in a five bedroom / five bath one-story home with 2,490 sq.ft. of living area and attached two-car garage to remain at 721 Clyde Avenue, subject to conditions. GENERAL BUSINESS The following items from this Development Review Hearing agenda will be scheduled for further review following the conclusion of hearings and recommendations by the Development Review Hearing. Please contact the Planning Division office for information on the schedule of hearings for these items. 2. 23-788 Action on a proposed first floor expansion and second second-story addition to an existing one-story single-family residence resulting in a 2,923 square-foot home at 1406 Barbara Drive (CEQA: Class 1 Categorical Exemption 15301(e) (1), Existing Facilities) Recommendation: Approve the use of Categorical Exemption 15301(e)(1) -Existing Facilities and Approve the Architectural Review of a 44 square floor first floor expansion and 760 square foot second story addition resulting in a 2,923 sq.ft. two-story single-family residence at 1406 Barbara Drive, subject to conditions. 3. 23-817 Action on two multifamily residential design schemes for residential development within the Tasman East Specific Plan area located at 2101, 2111, and 2121 Tasman Drive and 2220 Calle de Luna (Continued from the June 7, 2023 Development Review Hearing) Recommendation: Consider the Government Code Section 65457 Statutory Exemption and Approve the new construction of two potential design schemes; Mid-Rise Scheme including two eight-story residential buildings with one level below grade parking with a total of 900 units and a High-Rise Scheme including two 22-story residential buildings with a total of 950 units, subject to conditions. ADJOURNMENT The next regular scheduled meeting is on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at 4 p.m. MEETING DISCLOSURES City of Santa Clara Page 4 of 5 Printed on 6/21/2023 Development Review Hearing Revised Agenda June 28, 2023 The time limit within which to commence any lawsuit or legal challenge to any quasi-adjudicative decision made by the City is governed by Section 1094.6 of the Code of Civil Procedure, unless a shorter limitation period is specified by any other provision. Under Section 1094.6, any lawsuit or legal challenge to any quasi-adjudicative decision made by the City must be filed no later than the 90th day following the date on which such decision becomes final. Any lawsuit or legal challenge, which is not filed within that 90-day period, will be barred. If a person wishes to challenge the nature of the above section in court, they may be limited to raising only those issues they or someone else raised at the meeting described in this notice, or in written correspondence delivered to the City of Santa Clara, at or prior to the meeting. In addition, judicial challenge may be limited or barred where the interested party has not sought and exhausted all available administrative remedies. If a member of the public submits a speaker card for any agenda items, their name will appear in the Minutes. If no speaker card is submitted, the Minutes will reflect "Public Speaker." In accordance with the requirements of Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 ("ADA"), the City of Santa Clara will not discriminate against qualified individuals with disabilities on the basis of disability in its services, programs, or activities, and will ensure that all existing facilities will be made accessible to the maximum extent feasible.
