Biagini, Commissioner Patricia Leung, Commissioner Priya Cherukuru, Commissioner Stephen Estes, Commissioner J.L. "Spike" Standifer, Commissioner Ana Vargas-Smith , and Commissioner Michael Celso DECLARATION OF COMMISSION PROCEDURES Chair Cherukuru reviewed the Historical and Landmarks Commission procedures. REQUEST FOR EXCEPTIONS, WITHDRAWALS AND CONTINUANCES None CONSENT CALENDAR 1.A. 19-172 Action on Historical and Landmarks Commission Minutes of November 1, 2018 Recommendation: Approve the Historical and Landmarks Commission Minutes of November 1, 2018. A motion was made by Commissioner Estes and seconded by Commissioner Biagini to add the text" consideration of which depends" to the third recommendation under Agenda Item 2.18-1404. COMMISSIONERS REPORT Announcements / Other Items Staff Liaison Yen Han Chen reported the Council Joint Dinner meeting will be moved to April 9, 2019. Staff Liaison Yen Han Chen reviewed Preservation Month Activities that occurred in the past. Advisors to the Commission, in the past, also volunteered to lead a programs during May Preservation Month. He noted that the City Hall Trophy-Display case has been reserved for May Preservation Month, and promotion of other events will need support from the Commission. Staff Liaison Yen Han Chen reported on the Arts in Public Places program run by the Parks Department. He noted the possible use of GIS and technology to display Historical Resource Inventory information or other points of interest. Staff Liaison Yen Han Chen noted that funding for 2019 Leadership Santa Clara was coordinated through the City Manager's Office. Commissioner Travel and Training Reports, Requests to Attend Training Commissioner Leung and Commissioner Vargas-Smith reported on their participation in 2019 Leadership Santa Clara. Chair Cherukuru noted that she will be attending the Joint Venture Silicon Valley State of the Valley Conference on February 15, 2019. HLC LIAISON REPORT City Council and Planning Commission Actions Staff Liaison Yen Han Chen reported on Council and Planning Commission items. Upcoming Agenda Items Staff Liaison Yen Han Chen provided updates on upcoming agenda items, and noted the need to add names to the approved Street Names List. ADJOURNMENT A motion was made by Commissioner Estes and seconded by Commissioner Standifer to adjourn the meeting and by consent voice vote the meeting was adjourned at 8:58 p.m. The next regular scheduled meeting is on Thursday, March 7, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers.
