City of Santa Rosa Art in Public Places Committee Regular Meeting Minutes - Final Monday, November 7, 2022 3:30 PM 1. CALL TO ORDER Chair Kiefer called the meeting to order at 3:33 P.M. 2. ROLL CALL Present 4 - Committee Member Kristin Kiefer, Vice Chair Melanie Jones-Carter, Chair Anne Baumgartner, and Committee Member Lisa Puentes Absent 2 - Committee Member Jeff Nathanson, and Committee Member Bob Sayers 3. PUBLIC COMMENTS None. 4. APPROVAL OF MINUTES 4.1 October 3, 2022 - Draft Minutes This item was continued to the December 5, 2022 meeting due to lack of quorum. 4.2 October 13, 2022 - Draft Minutes This item was continued to the December 5, 2022 meeting due to lack of quorum. 5. SCHEDULED ITEMS 5.1 Community Mural at Dutch Flohr Park Artist Vijay Kareesan will present a proposal for a self-funded, community mural on privately owned fences that face Dutch Flohr Park in NW Santa Rosa. The property owners have provided permission and the Parks Department as approved the location for temporary artwork with no obligation to maintain the artwork. Recommended Action: Approval of Artwork design A motion was made by Vice Chair Jones-Carter, seconded by Committee Member Baumgartner, that this Art in Public Places Committee Agenda Item City of Santa Rosa Regular Meeting Minutes Page 2 of 3 Art in Public Places Committee Regular Meeting Minutes - Final November 7, 2022 be approved as submitted. The motion carried by the following vote: Yes: 4 - Committee Member Kiefer, Vice Chair Jones-Carter, Chair Baumgartner and Committee Member Puentes Absent: 3 - Azhderian, Committee Member Nathanson and Committee Member Sayers 5.2 Program & Project Updates Staff will present updates on current projects. Recommended Action: Information only. Item received and filed. 6.
