CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order by Chair Bonos at 3:45pm. 2. ROLL CALL Present: 4 - Nina Bonos, Monica Bryant, Lisa Puentes and Kristin Kiefer Absent: 1 - Ty Jones 3. PUBLIC COMMENTS None 4. APPROVAL OF MINUTES 4.1 November 7, 2016, Regular Meeting Minutes The minutes from the November 7, 2016 meeting were approved as submitted. 5. SCHEDULED ITEMS 5.1 SELECTION OF VICE CHAIR Recommended action: Selection of Vice Chair Chair Bonos reviewed the duties of Vice-Chair. Puentes nominated herself. Kiefer seconded the motion. Motion passed unanimously. 5.2 BAYER FARM MURAL ART PROJECT UPDATE Staff will provide a brief update on completed project. Recommended action: Information and discussion Staff presented a recap and photos of the completed mural project. The grand opening is March 25th; ceremony at 1:00pm and events from 1:30 to 3:30pm. City of Santa Rosa Regular Meeting Minutes Page 2 of 2 Art in Public Places Regular Meeting Minutes - Final March 6, 2017 5.3 CREATIVE ZONE PLANNING: DEPOT PARK Discussion to determine the project and artist selection process for the next downtown Creative Zone Public Art project at Depot Park Recommended action: Information and discussion Staff outlined the project planning process for the Depot Park Creative Zone, including consideration of existing art work, project goals, artist eligibility, selection process, budget and installation timeline. Following a lengthy discussion, it was determined that more information about the site and possible projects would be beneficial. More discussion at the April 3, 2017 meeting. 6. COMMENTS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS BY CHAIR AND COMMITTEE MEMBERS 6.1 EVENTS ATTENDED Bryant: Sonoma County Museum Black History Month, Palm Desert Public Art Installation Puentes: National Arts Program Awards Ceremony as a judge Bonos: First Friday 6.2 UPCOMING EVENTS Bryant: Upcoming Exhibit at the Petaluma Arts Center Bonos: Exhibit at the 6th Street Playhouse opens mid-March 7.
