REPORT ITEMS 5.1 Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Board Vice Chair Election BACKGROUND: Annually, the Board elects a Vice Chair. RECOMMENDATION: The Board shall, by motion, elect a Vice Chair to serve a one-year term. 5.2 Northeast Santa Rosa Bicycle/Pedestrian Connection-Field Visit BACKGROUND: In November 2016, the Board began a preliminary discussion of bicycle and pedestrian connections in northeast Santa Rosa in response to several current issues related to connectivity in this area of Santa Rosa. A subcommittee was formed to work with staff on potential options for new connections. Staff will provide a report on the subcommittee’s February 21, 2017 field visit. It is anticipated that the Board will take action on this issue at the next Board meeting. RECOMMENDATION: Information only-no action required. City of Santa Rosa Regular Meeting Agenda and Summary Report Page 2 of 3 Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory MARCH 16, 2017 Board Attachments Northeast Bike and Pedestrian Connections Attachment A Attachments B-D 5.3 Preliminary Scope of Work for the Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan update BACKGROUND: In January 2017, the Board by motion approved staff’s recommendation to allocate TDA Article 3 funds to update the City of Santa Rosa’s Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan (BPMP). Staff will present a proposed outline of the scope of work for the update, as well as anticipated budget and schedule for discussion with the Board. RECOMMENDATION: Information only-no action required. Attachments Scope for BPMP update Attachment A - Draft scope of work Attachment B - Draft budget and schedule 5.4 BPAB Community Outreach BACKGROUND: As a follow-up to an item at the January 2017 Board meeting, Chair Dadko and Vice Chair Ralston met to discuss a potential outreach strategy for the Board. They will present their ideas for discussion with the Board and staff. RECOMMENDATION: Information only. 5.5 Future Topics BACKGROUND: Approximately annually, the Board updates a list of topics of interest that is used by the Chair, Vice Chair, and staff to identify agenda items for future Board meetings. Staff will provide an update on progress in agendizing items on the current list in preparation for additional discussion at the May 2017 Board meeting. RECOMMENDATION: Information only. 6.
