1. CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL
The meeting was called to order by Chair Ralston at 4:04 p.m.
Present -6 Chair Shaun Ralston, Board Member Jim Pedgrift, Board Member
Barbara Moulton, Board Member Doug McKenzie, Vice Chair
Minona Heaviland, and Board Member Christine Dektor
Absent -3 Board Member Adam Brown, Board Member Kim Badenfort, and
Board Member Elizabeth Ridlington
2. OATH OF OFFICE
The Oath of Office was administered to reappointed Board Member
Christine Dektor.
3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES
3.1 Draft Minutes of February 21, 2019.
A motion was made by Vice Chair Heaviland, seconded by Board Member
Moulton, approved as submitted. The motion carried unanimously.
4. COMMENT ON AGENDA ITEMS
None.
5. STATEMENTS OF ABSTENTION BY BOARD MEMBERS
None.
6. PUBLIC COMMENTS ON NON-AGENDA MATTERS
Eris Weaver of Sonoma County Bicycle Coalition spoke about Bike
to Work Day/Month coming up in May. Activities include a pre-bike to
work clinic being offered prior to the event. Ms. Weaver stated she
is in the early stages of planning a Ciclovia event to be held in Santa

Rosa and/or Petaluma in the next year or two. She explained this is
a bicycle and pedestrian event, not a ride or fair, that is held on a
street that is shut down to vehicle traffic, and similar events have
been held in Los Angeles and San Francisco. Ms. Weaver stated
she is hopeful for support and cooperation from businesses, local
governments, and the BPAB. She also commented on the most
recent incident on Stony Point Road.
7. REPORT ITEMS
7.1 REPORT - Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan Update 2018 - Ongoing
Progress Report
BACKGROUND: The Board will provide additional input on the Plan
Update 2018 process, including next steps following the Plan Update
adoption.
RECOMMENDATION: This item is for Board discussion. No action is
required.
PUBLIC COMMENTS
Brett Kordenbrock inquired how the public can best engage with the
priorities of the first phase, and asked what the best way to interact
would be, specifically regarding the Fourth Street study.
Christine Talbot inquired what components will be included in the
studies.
Beth Dadko stated she was proud of the presentation at Council and
agreed with a public comment made at the meeting that planning
projects be incorporated.
Jeff Knowles of Alta Planning + Design, via telephone, gave thanks
to the entire Board for all their hard work.
This item was received and filed.

9. CHAIR/BOARD MEMBERS' ANNOUNCEMENTS
- The Board decided they will meet in April.
- The Board recognized former Chair Dadko and outgoing Board
Member Moulton with gifts of appreciation.
- The pump track has been affected by the rainy weather this winter.
The track will need to be torn down and rebuilt. The work is
scheduled to start April 22 and the re-opening is scheduled for May.
10. STAFF ANNOUNCEMENTS
- The City is starting the update of the Downtown Station Area
Specific Plan.
- The traffic count contractor has completed 75% of the counts, and
plans to be done by May.
11. ADJOURNMENT OF REGULAR MEETING
The meeting was adjourned by Chair Ralston at 5:42 p.m.
