1. CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL
Chair Badenfort called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m.
(Board Member Doig arrived at 4:30 p.m.)

5. APPROVAL OF MINUTES
5.1 July 18, 2024 Regular Meeting Minutes.
A motion was made by Board Member Schwarz, seconded by Board
Member Warne, to approve as submitted. The motion carried by the
following vote:
Yes: 5 - Chair Badenfort, Vice Chair Ridlington, Board Member Narath,
Board Member Schwarz and Board Member Warne
Absent: 3 - Board Member Doig, Board Member Hart and Board Member
McKenzie
6. PUBLIC COMMENTS ON NON-AGENDA MATTERS
Eris Weaver, Executive Director of the Sonoma County Bicycle
Coalition, spoke about the difficulty in hearing when participating
remotely and the need to improve the amplification at public

meetings; she has noticed the many new changes being made on
the streets and asked that staff rectify the issue of the big edge of
the new asphalt at the gutter pan; and announced upcoming October
events: Rock and Roll to School event and Women on Wheels Bike
Ride.
Chris Guenther, Bikeable Santa Rosa, spoke about the Week
Without Driving national event scheduled for September 30 to
October 5, and invited and encouraged participation of the Board,
staff, and attendees, as well as City Council. He also spoke about a
session in October being held at Sonoma Clean Power Customer
Center that will focus on envisioning how transportation will evolve.
7. REPORT ITEMS
7.1 REPORT - Redwood Bikeshare Program
BACKGROUND: Staff will present information on the Redwood
Bikeshare program.
RECOMMENDATION: This item is for Board information and
discussion.
PUBLIC COMMENTS
Eris Weaver gave some history on the project, stated that many
companies go out of business, expressed that it be managed
properly, and spoke in favor that this is moving forward.
This item was received and filed.
7.2 REPORT - Administrative Draft of Recommended Bicycle Projects for
the Active Transportation Plan (ATP)
BACKGROUND: Staff will present an administrative draft of
recommended bicycle projects for the Active Transportation Plan (ATP).
RECOMMENDATION: This item is for Board information and
discussion.
PUBLIC COMMENTS
Alexa Forrester, Bikeable Santa Rosa, spoke in favor of a low stress
bike network connecting all of Santa Rosa as long term goal. She

displayed maps that highlighted low stress facilities as part of a
protected network, and suggested some additional areas to include.
Eris Weaver spoke in favor of the improvements in the
communication and collaboration with the department.
Julia spoke in favor of the improvements as she bikes around the
City and is learning more about the processes and plan. She
provided some of her own biking experiences, and would like to see
more public outreach and education.
This item was received and filed.
8. CHAIR/BOARD MEMBERS' ANNOUNCEMENTS
None.
9. STAFF ANNOUNCEMENTS
- Board Member Prindle has resigned from the Board.
- Staff will produce some advertising and communication for the
Week Without Driving event and encourage participation.
- The Tour de Creek event will be held on September 20.
- Staff is working on a feasibility study for the Highway 12 and Fulton
Road intersection and there will be some community engagement
opportunities.
- Recent Council presentations have featured Vision Zero priorities
and Capital Improvement Program priorities.
- The slurry project is complete.
- An update on the Steele Lane Pilot project was provided and some
issues discussed.
- Updates from the recent CBPAC meeting were provided.
10. ADJOURNMENT OF REGULAR MEETING
Chair Badenfort adjourned the meeting at 5:40 p.m.
