7.2 COVID-19 RESPONSE UPDATE

PUBLIC COMMENT:
Duane De Witt submitted comment asking Council to recognize the
exemplary work of health care workers.
City Manager Sean McGlynn reported Santa Rosa continued to
maintain essential service levels for the health and safety of the
community throughout the public health emergency and following the
County Public Officer's health orders, the City has reopened city
parks for walking, biking, and basic outdoor exercise, has offered to
work with the contracted transit provider to schedule transportation
accommodations for community members with a disability or limited
mobility; there are improved online tools and customer support
including the new virtual permit center for construction and
development permits and noted that with the addition of online
services and the Governor's announcement to start reopening some
businesses, all city facilities, including customer service counters,
community centers, and pools will remain closed until further notice.

12.1 MOTION - CONTRACT AWARD - ANNUAL SLURRY SEAL 2020
RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended by the Transportation and
Public Works Department that the Council, by motion, award Contract
No. C02318, Annual Slurry Seal 2020, in the amount of $499,600.00 to
the lowest responsible bidder, DRYCO Construction, Inc., of Fremont,
California, approve a 10% contract contingency, and authorize a total
contract amount of $549,560.00, effective July 1, 2020.

RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended by the Transportation and
Public Works Department that the Council, by resolution, authorize the
Director of Transportation and Public Works to sign and execute an EV
Fleet Program Contract with PG&E for the purpose of constructing the
infrastructure to support battery-electric bus charging for the CityBus
fleet.

mailing services of the City’s Activity Guide for an additional one-year
term and increase compensation in the amount of $26,742, for a total
amount not to exceed $104,292.07.
