Old Chamber Building, 1st City of Santa Rosa Floor Large Conference Room, located at 637 1st St. Climate Action Subcommittee Meeting Minutes - Final Wednesday, July 5, 2023 4:00 PM 1. CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL Chair C. Rogers called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m. Present: 3 - Chair Chris Rogers, Mayor Natalie Rogers, and Council Member Victoria Fleming 2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES None. 3. PUBLIC COMMENTS ON NON-AGENDA MATTERS None. 4. DEPARTMENT REPORTS None. 5. NEW BUSINESS 5.1 ELECTRIC VEHICLE INFRASTRUCTURE MASTER PLAN Staff will provide an update on the pursuit of a city-wide Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Master Plan, consistent with recently adopted statewide regulations for municipal vehicle fleets, council goals, and other city policies. Staff will present information regarding the proposed scope of work and funding opportunities. The committee may discuss this item and give direction to staff. Peter Martin, Deputy Director - Water Resources, presented. Staff answered Subcommittee Member questions. Public Commenter asked about using 110 voltage at charging facilities to help those who need a shorter charge time, since charging stations tend to fill up. City of Santa Rosa Meeting Minutes Page 2 of 2 Climate Action Subcommittee Meeting Minutes - Final July 5, 2023 Staff responded to the Public Commenter's question. 5.2 STATUS UPDATE ON THE 2012 COMMUNITY CLIMATE ACTION PLAN AND 2013 MUNICIPAL CLIMATE ACTION PLAN Staff will provide an update on the implementation of action items identified in the 2012 Community Climate Action Plan (CCAP) and 2013 Municipal Climate Action Plan (MCAP) and provide an update on the current process of incorporating the Climate Action Plan into the update of the City’s General Plan. The committee may discuss this item and give direction to staff. Tasha Wright, Sustainability Coordinator - Water, and Amy Lyle, Supervising Planner - Planning and Economic Development, presented and answered Subcommittee questions. Public Commenter shared their concerns around the number of goals listed in relation to the amount of resources and staff it will take to work on all of the various projects. Suggested creating a list of priorities. 6. ADJOURNMENT Chair C. Rogers adjourned the meeting at 5:24 p.m. The next meeting of the Climate Action Subcommittee is scheduled for August 2, 2023.
