PUBLIC COMMENTS Except for public hearing agenda items, the public may comment on all agenda items and on items not on the agenda but within the jurisdiction of the Community Advisory Board at this time. Comments will be heard on specific agenda items at the time the item is called. The public may comment on public hearing agenda items when the hearing is opened. Each speaker is allowed three minutes. 3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Regular Meeting January 25, 2017 January 25, 2017. Regular Meeting. 4. STAFF UPDATES Oath of Office, Community Engagement Director Update, Roseland Annexation Community Conversations Update, Housing Action Plan Community Engagement Update 5. SCHEDULED ITEMS 5.1 SUBCOMMITTEE UPDATES CAB subcommittee Chairs will provide updates regarding each subcommittee activities. CAB Members will also report on community meetings attended in the last month. Issues of Concern to City Residents - Housing for All Issues of Concern to City Residents - Community Gardens City of Santa Rosa Regular Meeting Agenda and Summary Report Page 2 of 3 Community Advisory Board FEBRUARY 22, 2017 Strengthening Public Involvement Process - Open Government Ordinance and Outreach Building Community/Community Improvement Grants (CIG) 5.2 CIP TOWN HALL MEETING IMPROVEMENTS DISCUSSION CAB Members will discuss specific recommendations for improvement for the next series of CIP Town Hall meetings. 5.3 CAB 2017/2018 WORK PLAN CAB Members will begin discussing priorities for their work plan for the upcoming Fiscal Year 2017/2018. Specifically, CAB will look at acheivements from the current work plan and begin to plan strategies for the next year. 6 ACTION ITEMS 6.1 CIP TOWN HALLS SUBCOMMITTEE CHAIR There are three nominees for the CIP Town Hall Subcommittee Chair position. Due to the extensive work load of this subcommittee and the number of interested members in the Chair position, CAB will fulfill this position by taking a vote. 7. CAB MEMBER ANNOUNCEMENTS CAB members may share community news of interest to the CAB as a whole. CAB members may also announce upcoming community events that may be of interest to the CAB. 8. PARKING LOT This is a space holder for possible upcoming agenda items - Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan Update - Continuation of CAB 2017/2018 Work Plan 9. ADJOURNMENT CAB GOALS 1. CAB, with community input, is powerfully and actively advising the City Council, City Manager, and City staff of issues affecting the community. 2. CAB will continue to improve the partnership between neighborhoods, City of Santa Rosa Regular Meeting Agenda and Summary Report Page 3 of 3 Community Advisory Board FEBRUARY 22, 2017 community organizations, businesses, and the City to support and promote thriving, diverse neighborhoods. 3. CAB is utilizing the Community Improvement Grants to make positive and measureable changes in the community.
