N-25-20 AND N-29-20 WHICH SUSPEND CERTAIN REQUIREMENTS OF
THE BROWN ACT, AND THE ORDER OF THE HEALTH OFFICER OF THE
COUNTY OF SONOMA TO MINIMIZE THE SPREAD OF COVID-19, THE
COMMUNITY ADVISORY BOARD MEMBERS WILL BE PARTICIPATING

agenda, but which are within the subject matter of the jurisdiction. The public
may comment on agenda items when the item is called. Public Comment may
be made live during the meeting via Zoom. Each speaker is allowed three
minutes. Public comments may also be submitted by 5:00 pm, the Tuesday
before the CAB meeting via e-mail at communityengagement@srcity.org or

5. CAB ANNOUNCEMENTS
CAB Members may share community news of interest to the CAB as a whole.
CAB Members may also announce upcoming community events that may be
of interest to the CAB. This is also the time when CAB Members may
announce departure from the meeting early, or any other announcement that
may affect the meeting.
6. STAFF UPDATES
This time is reserved for City staff to provide a briefing on issues of interest.
No action will be taken on these matters except to possibly place a particular
item on a future agenda for consideration.

7. SCHEDULED ITEMS
7.1 WELCOME MAYOR ROGERS

Santa Rosa Mayor, Chris Rogers, will join the CAB and provide
information on Board, Commission and Committee attendance policies and
how to make the most of our appointments to the CAB. In addition, Mayor
Rogers will provide the CAB with a brief overview of current and upcoming
City projects, programs, initiatives and services.
7.2 REPORT - COMMUNITY IMPROVEMENT GRANT PROGRAM Q2
APPLICATIONS FOR FUNDING
BACKGROUND: On April 1, 2021, the Community Advisory Board
(CAB) released the Community Improvement Grant Program
application to the public. The first application period closed on June
30, 2021. The CAB received six applications for funding, totaling
$13,328, for the following projects:
Chinatown Memorial Crosswalk Mural Project
Elise Allen High School Campus Mural Project
Safe Schools Ambassadors - Helen Lehman Elementary School
Project
Santa Rosa High School Baseball Field Repairs Project
St. Rose Neighborhood Mural Project
West End Neighborhood Disaster Preparedness Project
RECOMMENDATION: The Office of Community Engagement
recommends that the CAB fund all six project applications for this
grant period.

7.3 STANDING AGENDA ITEM: ISSUES OF CONCERN OF CITY RESIDENTS
This is a standing agenda item. CAB Members will report on issues of
concern to community members within their CAB areas and the City as a
whole. Community members may use public comment during this item to

bring issues of concern to the CAB.
7.4 STANDING AGENDA ITEM: SUBCOMMITTEE UDPATES
This is a standing agenda item. Subcommittees will provide updates to the
CAB, as needed.

This schedule is tentative and subject to change pending final publication and
posting of the Meeting Agenda. This time is reserved for discussion whether
to place matters on a future agenda for further discussion.
