DEPARTMENT REPORT This time is reserved for City staff to provide a briefing on issues of interest. SCHEDULED ITEMS 6.1 MARLOW APARTMENTS BACKGROUND: The project application is Minor Design Review to allow a six-foot high wrought iron fence along Coffey Creek for Marlow Apartments located at 3076 Marlow Road. The fence will be replaced five feet from top of the bank line and will not result in any tree removal. The Committee will work with staff to evaluate the existing situation and come up with more specific funding needed in the future. We bring up this budget need to let the Council know during your city goals and budget process that funds will be needed to improve conditions of the Greenway. We ask the Council to consider this need during your budget discussions. We will make specific recommendations in the coming months regarding the specific needs. 6.4 UPDATE ON DRAFT DOWNTOWN STATION AREA SPECIFIC PLAN AND DRAFT EIR BACKGROUND: The Draft Downtown Station Area Specific Plan and Draft Subsequent Environmental Impact Report have been released for public review. The Specific Plan consists of goals, policies, standards, guidelines, and diagrams to guide the future development of the Downtown Station Area. The Proposed Plan will legally function as a Specific Plan for regulating land use and coordinating the provision of public services and infrastructure. The Waterways Advisory Committee has provided comments throughout the process and are asked to review and provide comments on the Draft Plan.
