Minutes of the Agenda from the August 25th, 2022, Town of Harrietstown Board Meeting TOWN OF HARRIETSTOWN TOWN BOARD AGENDA MINUTES DATE: AUGUST 25TH, 2022 PLEDGE TO THE FLAG ROLL CALL Supervisor Mallach Present Councilman Riley Excused Councilwoman Schrader Present Councilwoman Milne Present Councilman Williams Present ~Also in attendance was Harrietstown Deputy Town Clerk Judi McIntosh, Bookkeeper Beth Bevilacqua, Airport Manager Cory Hurwitch, and Joe Gladd. Via Zoom; Sean Kearney, Aaron, DCrowell, Julia Assaiante, and Aaron Cerbone from the Adirondack Daily Enterprise. MINUTES APPROVAL Review and acceptance of the minutes from the meeting held on August 11th, 2022, and the joint board meeting with the Village of Saranac Lake on August 15th, 2022. ~A motion was made by John Williams to accept the minutes of the meeting held on August 11th, 2022 and August 15th, 2022 as presented by the board, seconded by Ashley Milne m/s/p WARRANT #16 OF 2022: GENERAL FUND $35,973.03 AIRPORT FUND $1,645,675.27 GENERAL FUND OUTSIDE $7,708.38 HIGHWAY FUND OUTSIDE $15,798.72 TRUST AND AGENCY $38,089.45 WATER AND SEWER $157.31 ~A motion was made by Tracey Shrader to approve payment of the vouchers of Warrant #16 of 2022, seconded by Ashley Milne (m/s/p) Minutes of the Agenda from the August 25th, 2022, Town of Harrietstown Board Meeting HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT: Work report COMMUNITY GROUP: Jordanna discussed inviting community groups to the board meetings. COUNTY UPDATE: ~Supervisor Mallach read an email from Legislator Lindy Ellis about shared services in 2022. Discussed was the water/sewer and highway services with the Village of Saranac Lake. Mallach met with the Village of Saranac Lake Manger Erik Stender about public safety in the Harrietstown Hall. UPDATES FROM THE SUPERVISOR: ~Pilot approval for the Keaney Group was discussed. Ashley Milne requested information on how they arrived at $70,000. Heat Pump efficiency campaign ~ Jesse Schwartzberg is a local expert on the topic that will be contacted by Tracey Schrader to speak at a Board Meeting. St. Armand is currently using this NYSCERTA program, and will be soon be adopted in North Elba and the Village of Saranac lake ~A motion was made by Ashley Milne to move the September 8th 2022 Board Meeting to Town Hall, seconded by John Williams (m/s/p) Sign Policy ~A policy for posting signs, banners, and other event material on the outside of Town Hall will be drafted by Supervisor Mallach Budget Funding Letters ~Supervisor Mallach mailed out letters to those organizations who have previously requested funds from the Town to get them on 2023’s budget. Adirondack Local Government Review Board, Resolution # 12 ~A motion was made by Tracey Schrader to adopt resolution 12 of 2022 and seconded by John Williams (m/s/p). Resolution attached to the minutes.
