CITY OF SARATOGA SPRINGS CITY COUNCIL MEETING CITY COUNCIL ROOM MONDAY, DECEMBER 2, 2004 9:00 A.M. PRESENT: Commissioner Thomas Curley, DPS Michael Lenz, Mayor Commissioner Matthew McCabe, Finance Commissioner Stephen Towne, Accounts ABSENT: Commissioner Thomas McTygue, DPW STAFF PRESENT: Debbie Harper, Deputy Commissioner, Accounts Lynn Bochner, Finance CALL TO ORDER Mayor Michael Lenz called the meeting to order at 9:00 p.m. FINANCE OFFICE Victorian Streetwalk/NYRA Agreement Tony Izzo, Assistant City Attorney, explained that arrangements have been made with NYRA to allow individuals to park their cars at the Oklahoma Track this evening during the Victorian Streetwalk. A shuttle bus service will be provided between that location and the downtown area. The City will pay $1 for the use of the parking lot. He noted that the City will need to buy an additional piece of insurance, to meet NYRA’s needs, at a cost of $275. Commissioner Matthew McCabe moved and Mayor Michael Lenz seconded to authorize the Mayor to sign the contract with NYRA and to also purchase the additional piece of insurance at a cost of $275. Commissioner Matthew McCabe suggested that a document be drafted that could be used tomorrow after the final walk through of the property which releases the City from any further obligations. Tony Izzo said that could be done. It was agreed that Marilyn Rivers, Bill McTygue and Commissioner Matthew McCabe would take part in the final walk through. Commissioner Stephen Towne said he would like the City’s point person identified. Commissioner Matthew McCabe said he would be that person. Bill McTygue asked about the security of the parking area and locking of the area at the end of the night. Commissioner Matthew McCabe said that he would follow up on that matter with NYRA. Ayes all. ADJOURNMENT Commissioner Stephen Towne moved and Commissioner Matthew McCabe seconded to adjourn the meeting at 9:10 a.m. Ayes all.
