CALL TO ORDER Mayor Johnson called the meeting to order at 11:02 a.m. PUBLIC COMENT Mayor Johnson opened the public comment period at 11:03 p.m. Mayor Johnson said the public comment period is limited to a total of 15 minutes and individuals are limited to two minutes each according to the rules approved in February of 2004 by the City Council. No one spoke. Mayor Johnson closed the public comment period at 11:04 a.m. CONSENT AGENDA Mayor Johnson announced there is nothing on the consent agenda at this time. ACCOUNTS DEPARTMENT Commissioner Franck announced there is nothing on his agenda at this time. FINANCE DEPARTMENT Commissioner Ivins announced there is nothing on his agenda at this time. PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT Discussion and Vote: Authorization for Mayor to Sign Contract with Kubricky Construction – Beekman Street Water Main Replacement (10-306) Paul Male, city engineer advised the bid was awarded to Tom Kubricky Construction, not Kubricky Construction. Tom Kubricky Construction will start work as early as Monday with the first phase. They will be working from West Circular to Grand Avenue. The urgency is to take the residents off the 4” line and put them on an above ground line while the water main is being replaced. Time to accomplish this is short as we approach the winter. Installation of this new line will increase water pressure and flow. Commissioner Scirocco moved and Commissioner Wirth seconded to authorize the mayor to sign a contract with Tom Kubricky Construction in the amount of $456,493 for Phase 1 of the Beekman Street water main replacement. Ayes - All PUBLIC SAFETY DEPARTMENT Commissioner Wirth announced there is nothing on his agenda at this time. ADJOURNMENT Mayor Johnson moved and Commissioner Wirth seconded to adjourn the meeting.
