Appointment: Community Development Advisory Board Mayor Yepsen advised she will be appointing 4 members. Appointment: Recreation Commission No comments. Announcement: Groundbreaking at Waterfront Park Mayor Yepsen advised this will be taking place on September 22, 2014 at 11 am. Mayor Yepsen added the following items to her agenda: Appointment: Board of Ethics; andAppointment: Junior Committee. ACCOUNTS DEPARTMENT Nothing at this time. FINANCE DEPARTMENT Discussion and Vote: Bond Resolution – Landfill Flaring Project Commissioner Madigan advised this is for $500,000; $120,000 is grant money and $380,000 will be bonded. Tim Wales, city engineer, advised Fred Wehran was hired to complete the design. The project is now out to bid. Discussion and Vote: Capital Budget Amendment – Landfill Flaring Project No comments. Discussion and Vote: Agreement Addendum Three Between the city of Saratoga Springs, NY and SAX/BST LLC Commissioner Madigan advised the City cannot receive payment on the Railroad Run grant until a certain review and report is completed. Discussion and Vote: Authorization for the Mayor to Sign Agreement with Care Environmental Corp. – Household Hazardous Waste Day Tim Wales, city engineer, advised this will take place on October 11, 2014. PUBLIC SAFETY DEPARTMENT Discussion and Vote: Authorization for Mayor to Sign Change Order 1 with Butler Rowland Mays Commissioner Mathiesen advised this is in the amount of $40,037.50. Discussion and Vote: Authorization for Mayor to Sign Change Order 20 with Hoosick Valley Contractors Commissioner Mathiesen advised this is in the amount of $6,642. Discussion and Vote: Authorization for Mayor to Sign Change Orders 5 & 6 with Jack Hall Plumbing for HVAC Commissioner Mathiesen advised change order #5 is in the amount of $7,507.09 and change order #6 is in the amount of $18,288.70.
