Approve Mid-Warrant – 2020 20MWDEC4 $29,632.15 No comments. MAYOR’S DEPARTMENT Announcement: 2021 Community Development Block Grant Sub-grantee Application Period Open 1/15/21 No comments. Discussion and Vote: Approval to Hire a Senior Planner in Planning Department Mayor Kelly advised they are requesting a senior planner to replace the administrator that retired. The deputy mayor will cover additional duties in 2021. This position will be a grade 14 and they have more than enough money in their budget to cover this salary. City Council Pre-Agenda Meeting January 4, 2021 Discussion and Vote: Saratoga Springs Recreation Department Part-time/Seasonal Personnel/Referee Proposal No comments. ACCOUNTS DEPARTMENT Announcement: State Passes Legislation to Address Senior and Disabled Homeowner Exemptions Tony Popolizio, assistant assessor, advised the state passed an emergency eviction and prevention act to carry over exemptions for people. The exemptions the people had in 2020 will carry over to 2021. He believes they will be sending a letter to the seniors to inform them of this. FINANCE DEPARTMENT Discussion and Vote: Refunding Bond Resolution Commissioner Madigan advised she initiated the refinancing of a bond. Discussion and Vote: Budget Transfers – Payroll No comments. PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT Commissioner Scirocco advised he is working on a couple things for the agenda. PUBLIC SAFETY DEPARTMENT Commissioner Dalton advised she is adding two items to her agenda: COVID Update and Announcement: Promotion in the Fire Department. SUPERVISORS Mayor Kelly advised the supervisors e-mailed their items over the weekend and will be added to the agenda.
