CITY OF SARATOGA SPRINGS CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION REGULAR MEETING 474 BROADWAY, CITY COUNCIL ROOM MARCH 27TH 2024 MINUTES PRESENT: CHAIRPERSON HOLMES COMMISSIONER ZANGRANDO COMMISSIONER LEIDIG ANNOUNCEMENT OF RECORDING OF PROCEEDINNGS The proceedings of this meeting are audio recorded for the benefit of the Commissions Coordinator who acts as Secretary. The meetings will be live streamed and the video archive posted on the city website. CHAIRPERSON HOLMES CALLED THE REGULAR MEETING TO ORDER AT 9:35 am and opened the public comment period. There being no one to speak, public comment period was closed. Commissioner Leidig made a motion to approve the February 2024 meeting minutes as presented. Seconded by Commissioner Zangrando. Motion carries unanimously. SCHOOL Director of Human Resources from the Saratoga Springs Central School District, Hilary Brewer, appeared before the commission to discuss the proposed updates to the Information Technology Support Technician I job specification. After a brief discussion, Commissioner Leidig made a motion to approve the proposed updates as presented. Seconded by Commissioner Zangrando. Motion carries unanimously. After a brief discussion, Commissioner Leidig made a motion to approve the creation of one, competitive, DPS Purchasing Coordinator new position. Seconded by Commissioner Zangrando. Motion carries unanimously. Chairperson Holmes made a motion to approve the following leaves of absences. Seconded by Commissioner Zangrando. After a brief discussion, Chairperson Holmes made a motion to approve the proposed updates as presented. Seconded by Commissioner Zangrando. No by Commissioner Leidig. Motion passes two to one. Commissioner Leidig made a motion to approve the following provisional appointment. Seconded by Chairperson Holmes. Motion carries unanimously.
