City of Saratoga Springs Board of Ethics Minutes Thursday, March 21, 2013 Present: Justin Hogan – Chair, Ted Obloy and Marilyn Rivers with Tony Izzo as Advisor. Absent: Cathy Masie. The meeting commenced at 4:50PM in the City Hall City Council Room Discussion: Employee Awareness Material: Ethics awareness flier was approved by City Attorney and Mayor Johnson. Five Hundred copies of the flyer were provided to the Finance Department on Wednesday, March 20, 2013. Marilyn Rivers facilitated the distribution of the flyer with the Finance Department to be distributed in the March 22, 2013 payroll. 2012 Annual Report: Justin Hogan will work on a draft of the 2012 Ethics BOD Annual Report and round robin the report for review by the BOD. He will utilize the 2011 Annual Report as a template. The BOE final 2012 draft report will be given to Mayor Johnson for final review and distribution. 2012 Ethics Disclosure Forms: Marilyn Rivers presented Chairperson Justin Hogan with a sealed envelop containing the Ethics Disclosure Forms provided by the Mayor’s Office. The BOE reviewed the disclosure forms submitted by the individuals so noted in the City’s Ethics legislation. Completed forms were tallied on a spreadsheet provided by the Mayor’s Office. Incomplete forms are being returned to the Mayor’s Office for correction for the next Ethics Meeting. The BOE is also requesting that Tony Izzo take the lead in working with the Mayor’s Office to obtain submissions from individuals mandated to complete the forms who have yet to submit them for the next Ethics Meeting. Completed disclosure forms were placed in one sealed envelop and incomplete disclosure forms were placed in a second sealed envelop. Marilyn Rivers will hand deliver those envelopes to Jennifer Merriman on the morning of March 22, 2013. New Business: None Motion to Adjourn by Ted Obloy with a second by Marilyn Rivers.
