City of Saratoga Springs Board of Ethics Minutes Monday, June 16th, 2014 The meeting commenced at 5:36PM in the City Hall City Council Room. Present: Justin Hogan – Chairperson, Cathy Masie, Brendan Chudy, Courtney Deleonardis, and Marilyn Rivers with Tony Izzo as Advisor Discussion: Old business: Meeting Minutes: The May 5, 2014 meeting minutes were accepted as drafted. Motion by Cathy Masie to accept the minutes as drafted with a second by Brendan Chudy. Motion approved by all. Review 2014 BOE Annual Disclosure Forms: BOE reviewed the remaining 2014 BOE Disclosure Forms. Responses were recorded in the 2014 BOE Disclosure Excel Spreadsheet. Employee Awareness Flyers: Marilyn Rivers accepted responsibility on behalf of the BOE to copy and provide paper copies of the BOE Employee Awareness Flyer to Finance to distribute in regular payroll. She will also send out the Employee Awareness Flyer via email to all City employees. Discussion of the BOE Making Potential Changes to the City’s Code of Ethics: BOE members have agreed to begin reviewing the existing City Chapter 13 for revisions to ensure its is updated and in conformance with the NYS Public Officials laws. The following passages will be reviewed at the next BOE meeting: 13-3(B); 13-3(C); 13-3(P); 13-4(B); 13-5(g.3); and 13-5 (I and J). 2013 BOE Annual Report: Justin Hogan presented the draft 2013 BOE Annual Report. One change was made adding Paul Male to retired members. The BOW accepted the report as drafted New Business: Schedule future meeting dates: The next meeting of the BOE is Thursday, July 10th at 5:00PM in the 3rd Music Hall at City Hall. Motion to Adjourn the BOE was made by Justin Hogan with a second by Brendan Chudy. Meeting Adjourned at 6:48PM on June 16, 2014.
