City of Saratoga Springs Board of Ethics Minutes Monday 2/1/16 Present: Justin Hogan – Chair, Courtney DeLeonardis, John Ellis, Brendan Chudy and Marilyn Rivers, with Tony Izzo as Advisor and Trish Bush. Absent: None Guest: John Kaufmann – arrived at 6:00 and left at approximately 7:10 PM Meeting was called to order at 5:04 PM in the Public Safety Conference Room Minutes from previous meeting were reviewed. Motion to accept: Brendan Chudy Second: Justin Hogan. Minutes approved. OLD BUSINESS: 1. 2015 Annual Report discussion: Justin Hogan will put a draft Annual Report together for review. 2. 2016 Disclosure statements were sent out in early January. Board reviewed those that have been received to date. All submissions to date have been approved. 3. Advisory Opinions #1 and #2 were provided to the requesters. A summary of the opinions will be provided, reviewed, and posted on the website. 5:20 PM Justin Hogan moved to Executive Session. Second: Brandan Chudy Motion: The Board reviewed a submittal relevant to the previously issued Advisory Opinion 2-2016. The Board voted that said Advisory Opinion shall remain unchanged. 4 ayes; 1 abstain The Board moved out of Executive Session at 6:05 to accept a statement submitted by John Kaufmann. Executive Session resumed at 6:10. NEW BUSINESS: 1. Review four inquiry forms in executive session. Advisory Opinions will be drafted, circulated and if approved, provided to the requesters. Motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Marilyn Rivers; second: Courtney DeLeonardis Meeting Adjourned at 7:40 PM on February 1, 2016 Next meeting: scheduled for March 10, 2016 at 5:30 PM Respectfully submitted: Trish Bush, City Attorney’s office
