Saratoga Springs Board of Ethics Meeting 3/8/18 Present at meeting, Board members Marilyn Rivers, John Ellis, Brendan Chudy and Eileen Venn Tony Izzo City attorney was also present Justin Hogan was excused Call to order Time 5:36pm, Law Library, City Hall Marilyn approved minutes from previous meeting on 1/18/18, Brendan and John second minutes, first meeting Eileen Venn abstains. Review bylaws from Charter Review Commission- BOE issues no comment as they already submitted what they thought would work BOE sign and review 2018 Financial Disclosure forms for all Saratoga Springs boards to ensure information is filled in. The board found two incomplete that it will have to send back to be resubmitted. Old Business Review submission and draft letter from BOE to complaint based on information from last meeting. BOE would like to see additional information on this matter and table it until we see 1) If any organization gave money for mailing and is it public or private? 2) Clarify if the organization of city of mayors is public or private? 3) Members want to see actual mailing 4) Letter to remove “in the absence of any public funding” The attorney will work on these items for review at next meeting New Business Review new inquiry submitted February 23, 2018 on complaint against planning board member for violating the City Code of Ethics 1) The board is requesting additional information to make their determination.
