Minutes Attendance – Derrick Legall, Amy Smith, Robert Manasier, and Alphonse Lambert. John Hirliman The Saratoga Springs Recreation Commission meeting was called to order by Derrick Legall, Chairman. Public Comment - Due to circumstances, the public comment section was unable to be entertained. Public comments will be accepted via email john.hirilman@saratoga-springs.org for the meetings while social distancing is required. No public comments were received. 1. Discussion and Vote: Minutes: The minutes from the previous meeting were tabled. 2. Discussion and Vote: Update Personnel Rates- Authorization to pay new 2021 camp counselors $14 and returning camp counselors $14.25. Authorization to pay youth parker supervisor $14 if a 2019 returning staff member and $14.25 if a 2018 or more returning staff member. The motion to approve the Camp Saradac Counselor Rate for a 2021 New Hire to be $14.00/hour, a returning Camp Counselor employee to be $14.25/hour and the Youth Parking Supervisor returning rate 2nd year $14.00/hour and more than 2 years $14.25/hour was made by Derrick Legal and seconded by Robert Manasier. (All Ayes) 3. Discussion: Camp Saradac The motion to accept $1,000.00 from Friends of Recreation for Camp Saradac was made by Amy Smith and seconded by Robert Manasier. (All Ayes) 4. Discussion: Capital Budget Meetings 5. Discussion: General Budget – The General Budget was discussed by the Recreation Commission. John Hirliman reported revenue is exceeding the budget but will need to cover the additional expenses. John Hirliman recommended adding a full time employee with a budget amendment. 6. Discussion: Directors Report – The Recreation Commission discussed the returning of the Office Manager. 7. Discussion: Program Report – The program report was given. The motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Derrick Legall and seconded by Amy Smith at 7:02pm.
