Butts to the Program Coordinator position Grade 10 Step 1 effective February 22, 2022. Amy welcomed Brandon Butts. 3. Discussion and Vote: Recreation Department Part Time Personnel-No Vote. 4. Discussion and Vote: Shirt Quote - The Recreation Department was requesting approval to award Printed Shirt Quote to Mercury Screen Printing. The estimated total is up to $15,611.00. The Recreation Department will be purchasing signage, forms, and other promotional items. 6. Discussion: Camp Saradac - The Recreation Department registration will begin 2/28/2022 for City Residents and on 3/21/2022 for all. Camp will be held at East Side Rec. and the Recreation Center. Before/After Care will be at the Recreation Center only. The goal was to have field trips this year. The Department would be utilizing the Saratoga School District transportation this year. The Director was looking at two field trips a week and needed to coordinate both sites. Discussion: Pickleball Courts - The Director was getting requests to rent out the pickleball outdoor courts. They would not be rented for events. Adrianna Britt-Gaeta were talking about pickleball vs paddlebalf and handball, racquetbail & squash. 8. Announce: Field User Group Meeting - March 29,2022-5:30pni -The Recreation Department's annual Field User Group meeting was scheduled for March 29, 2022- 5;30pm at the Recreation Center immediately prior to the Recreation Commission Meeting. 9. Discussion: Capital Projects-The Recreation Commission did not discuss ideas for the upcoming Capital/School projects. - Saratoga Shredders Pump Track had contacted City Hall regarding requirements. Amy Smith asked how it was going. The Director mentioned that he would meet with the Mayor every other week. The Mayor's office was supportive. DPW had the money. There were 4 open positions. They had not gotten the people. Amy Smith mentioned that there were a number ofapplicants for the positions. Amy Smith mentioned a Water Main break story. 10. Discussion: Genera! Budget-The Recreation MUNIS Januaiy Revenue and Expenditure Summaiy reports were attached to the agenda. The Basketball League numbers were low. Soccer enrollment was good. The Director mentioned that getting coaches had been difficult. Amy Smith asked how the Department got coaches. The Department begged, emailed and called. Parent of players who registered late would sign up to get the kids to play. The Department had contacted school Athletic Directors and coaches. 11. Discussion: Director's Report-The Director's report was attached to the agenda. 12. Discussion: Program Report- The Community Pass Spring 2022 and Winter 2021/2022 Program Statistic reports were attached to the agenda. Adjournment-The meeting ended at 7:10pm.
