***FINANCE MINUTES*** October 14, 2013 MUNICIPAL CENTER SAUKVILLE, WISCONSIN Barb Dickmann, Village President, called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. Dawn Wagner, Village Administrator, gave the Statement of Public Notice. Members Present: Barb Dickmann-present, Bob Hamann-present, Joe Caban-present, Dave Maglio-present, Michael Gielow-present, Mike Krocka-present and Dan Sauer-present. Others Present: Dawn Wagner and Vicki Lee CONVENE TO CLOSED EXECUTIVE SESSION PURSUANT TO §19.85 (1)(c) PERSONNEL – CONSIDER PERFORMANCE OF EMPLOYEES Krocka/Caban made a motion to go into Closed Executive Session pursuant to §19.85 (1)(c) Personnel – Consider Performance of Employees. Roll call taken with all in favor. Motion carried at 6:01 p.m. RECONVENE TO OPEN SESSION Caban/Maglio made a motion to reconvene to open session at 6:25 p.m. Motion carried. ACTION ON CLOSED SESSION MATTERS No action taken. 2014 BUDGET DISCUSSION Wagner gave an overview of the 2014 proposed Revenue, Operating and Capital Budgets, with all requests included. Wagner also noted that the prepared budget shows some revenues increasing. The largest areas of increase are transportation aids and interest earnings. Wagner went through the budget assumptions to date with $38,744 in proposed cuts already included in the budget. Several items were removed from the Capital Budget. If there is enough money in the 2013 Contingency Fund, some of the items will be purchased this year and removed from the 2014 Budget. Wagner reviewed the Village’s Levy Limit constraints and noted that the Village’s Net New Construction is .842%. She explained how the numbers all correlate together to get to the estimated mill rate. OTHER MATTERS None. ADJOURNMENT Maglio/Gielow made a motion to adjourn. Motion carried at 7:27 p.m. Dawn M.
