December 2, 2014 ***VILLAGE BOARD MINUTES*** December 2, 2014 SAUKVILLE MUNICIPAL CENTER 639 E GREEN BAY AVE SAUKVILLE, WISCONSIN Village Trustee Dan Sauer called the meeting to order at 8:05 p.m. Village Administrator Dawn Wagner gave the Statement of Public Notice. Members: Barb Dickmann-absent, Dan Sauer-present, David Maglio-present, Mike Krocka-absent, Michael Gielow-present, Joe Caban-present, and Scott Fischer-present. Others Present: Dawn Wagner, Mary K. Baumann, Vicki Lee, Ray deBruijn, Chief Goetz, and Mark Jaeger PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE CITIZEN COMMENTS AND QUESTIONS Walt Schmitz, 214 S. Cottrell Drive stated that he has only been a Village resident for about 6 months. Schmitz stated that earlier in the fall he had an issue with brown water. He spoke with the water department and resolved the problem. Schmitz stated that he is concerned about the Village digging a new well instead of hooking up with Port Washington. Sauer reported that an analysis had been done on what the best option was for the Village. Wagner stated that, although the analysis had been done, justification has to be given to the Public Service Commission (PSC) on what the impact would be. Wagener stated that the Village Board authorized the test well contingent on construction authorization from the PSC. Schmitz stated that he was disappointed with the Board’s decision. APPROVE MINUTES OF NOVEMBER 18, 2014 MEETING Maglio/Gielow made a motion to approve the November 18, 2014 minutes as presented. Motion carried. COMMUNICATIONS REPORT FROM THE VILLAGE PRESIDENT None. REPORT FROM THE VILLAGE ADMINISTRATOR None. ORDINANCES – RESOLUTIONS – PETITIONS Res. #1200 – 2015 Room Tax Maglio/Gielow made a motion to revisit Res. #1200 -2015 Room Tax at the first Finance meeting in February. Motion carried. Res. #1201 – Approving the Designation of a Portion of the Village’s Undesignated General Fund Balance Maglio/Gielow made a motion to waive the reading of Res. #1201- Approving the Designation of a Portion of the Village’s Undesignated General Fund Balance  December 2, 2014 Gielow/Maglio made a motion to approve Res. #1201 – Approving the Designation of a Portion of the Village’s Undesignated General Fund Balance as presented. Motion carried. REPORTS OF VILLAGE BOARD COMMITTEES Utility Committee No report. Public Works Committee No report. Public Safety Committee No report. Finance Committee Sauer reported on the meeting of December 2, 2014. Res. #1200 – 2015 Room Tax Requests were discussed and recommended. Res. #1201 – Approving the Designation of a Portion of the Village’s Undesignated General Fund Balance was discussed and recommended for approval. Other Matters: Baumann reported that there will not be a Special Election in December. REPORTS OF SPECIAL COMMITTEES Plan Commission The next meeting is scheduled for Thursday, December 4, 2014. Community Development Authority/Industrial Review Committee No report. Library Board The next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, December 9, 2014. Mid-Moraine Municipal Association The next meeting is scheduled for January 14, 2015. OPERATOR’S LICENSE APPROVALS None. LIQUOR LICENSE APPROVALS None. CITIZEN MATTERS AS NOTICED None.
