March 3, 2015 ***VILLAGE BOARD MINUTES*** March 3, 2015 SAUKVILLE MUNICIPAL CENTER 639 E GREEN BAY AVE SAUKVILLE, WISCONSIN Village President Barb Dickmann called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. Village Administrator Dawn Wagner gave the Statement of Public Notice. Members: Barb Dickmann-present, Dan Sauer-present, David Maglio-present, Mike Krocka-absent, Michael Gielow-present, Joe Caban-present, and Scott Fischer-present. Others Present: Dawn Wagner, Mary Kay Baumann, Ray deBruijn, Dale Kropidlowski, Roy Wilhelm, and Mark Jaeger PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE CITIZEN COMMENTS AND QUESTIONS None. APPROVE MINUTES OF FEBRUARY 10, 2015 MEETING Maglio/Gielow made a motion to approve the February 10, 2015 minutes as presented. Motion carried. COMMUNICATIONS REPORT FROM THE VILLAGE PRESIDENT Dickmann requested a motion to appoint John Ross to the Cemetery Commission. Maglio/Caban made a motion to approve the appointment of John Ross to the Cemetery Commission. Motion carried. REPORT FROM THE VILLAGE ADMINISTRATOR None. ORDINANCES – RESOLUTIONS – PETITIONS None. REPORTS OF VILLAGE BOARD COMMITTEES Utility Committee The next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, March 24, 2015. Public Works Committee Caban reported on the meeting of March 3, 2015. Discussion was held regarding selling the old street lights. Discussion was held and a recommendation was made to the Village Board to approve the 2015 Saukville Youth Baseball Agreement. Caban/Maglio made a motion to approve the 2015 Saukville Youth Baseball Agreement. Motion carried. Public Safety Committee No report. March 3, 2015 Finance Committee Dickmann reported on the meeting of March 3, 2015. Claims for January 2015 in the amount of $577,123.56 were reviewed and approved. The Investment Report was reviewed. An update was given regarding the Well #6 Project. Other Matters: Staff will teleconference with Moody’s tomorrow regarding the Village’s Bond Rating. The 3rd Annual Business Forum is being held at Oldenburg Metal Tech tomorrow at 7:15 a.m. Meetings for the Shared Services Task Force have been put on hold while a study is being completed regarding the senior center in the community. The Mid-Moraine Dinner is being held March 25, 2015 in Kewaskum. Anyone wishing to attend should contact Mary Kay. A section of flooring in the main office of Village Hall been replaced and the Community Room has been painted and the floors have been stripped and waxed. The DPW will be selling the old street lights. Saturday, March 7th is “Coffee with a Cop” at the Firehouse Restaurant from 8-10 a.m. REPORTS OF SPECIAL COMMITTEES Plan Commission No report. Community Development Authority/Industrial Review Committee The minutes from the January 8, 2015 meeting were reviewed and approved. Haroldson gave an update on the Seyfert Court issue. Discussion was held regarding the Economic Development Incentive Program. Discussion was held regarding the visioning for the Village. Library Board The next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, March 10, 2015. Mid-Moraine Municipal Association Fischer reported on the meeting of February 11, 2015. The two State Senate candidates spoke. The March 11th meeting will be on the State budget and how it will affect communities. OPERATOR’S LICENSE APPROVALS Maglio/Gielow made a motion to approve Operator’s License Applications for Martin for Tri-Par. Motion carried. March 3, 2015 LIQUOR LICENSE APPROVALS None. CITIZEN MATTERS AS NOTICED None. ADJOURNMENT Maglio/Gielow made a motion to adjourn. Motion carried at 8:06 p.m. Mary K.
