***VILLAGE BOARD MINUTES*** December 5, 2023 SAUKVILLE MUNICIPAL CENTER and VIA ZOOM 639 E. GREEN BAY AVE., SAUKVILLE, WI 53080 Village President Andy Hebein called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. Julie Friede gave the Statement of Public Notice. Members: Andy Hebein-present, Scott Fischer-present, Trevor Seitz-present, William Rudolph-present, Jim Nowlen-present, Pamela Duckart-present and Jesse Duckart-present. Others Present: Dawn Wagner, Julie Friede, and Brandon Ashley - Resident PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE CITIZEN COMMENTS AND QUESTIONS None. APPROVE MINUTES OF NOVEMBER 28,2023. Seitz/Fischer made a motion to approve minutes of November 28 2023. Motion Carried. COMMUNICATIONS REPORT FROM THE VILLAGE PRESIDENT None. REPORT FROM THE VILLAGE ADMINISTRATOR Wagner stated the Public Works Department did a great job decorating for the Annual Tree Lighting at Veterans Park. ORDINANCES – RESOLUTIONS –PETITIONS REPORTS OF VILLAGE BOARD COMMITTEES Utility Committee No Report. Public Works/Cemetery Committee No Report. Public Safety Committee No Report Finance Committee Hebein reported on the Meeting of December 5, 2023. Approved Claims for November 2023 in the Amount of $334,760.20. 2024 Property/Liability/Worker’s Compensation Insurance Seitz/J. Duckart made a motion to approve the 2024 Property/Liability/Worker’s Compensation Insurance. Motion Carried. Lease Agreement – Saukville Chamber of Commerce Nowlen/P. Duckart made a motion to approve the Lease Agreement – Saukville Chamber of Commerce. Motion Carried. REPORTS OF SPECIAL COMMITTEES Plan Commission No Report. Community Development Authority/Industrial Review Committee No Report. Library Board No Report. Mid-Moraine Municipal Association No Report. LIQUOR LICENSE APPROVALS None. CITIZEN MATTERS AS NOTICED Seitz stated in review of the Ozaukee Press there were 2 articles with conflicting information involving the Village of Saukville going to referendum for a consolidated Fire/EMS Department. Wagner confirmed that the Village of Saukville does not need to go to Referendum for the Fire/EMS consolidation with the Village of Grafton. Seitz questioned if Ozaukee County was Sanctuary County, protecting citizens 2 nd Amendment constitutional rights? ADJOURNMENT Seitz/P. Duckart made a motion to adjourn.
