PROPOSED CITY OF SCHENECTADY CODE CHANGES
• All holders making excavations in streets or places shall guarantee
restoration work for a period of five years from the City's date of acceptance of
the permanent restoration. The permit holder shall be required to completely re-excavate, refill,
and repave any permanent restoration that fails within the guaranteed period. The permit
holder is responsible anytime in the future for the proper restoration of permit work found not
in compliance with the City standards. Upon notification by the City, the Permit Holder shall
completely re-excavate, refill and repave the excavation.

issuance of a commercial building permit is $100.
