TO BE PLACED ON COUNCil AGENDA OF: January 9, 2017 Background Information: Reynolds Tax Service has an existing planter and would like to replace the sign that will hang over the City right-of-way with a minimum clearance of 8' at 406 Union Street, Schenectady, New York (please see the attached application, picture, and an email from the Planning Dept. and the Historic Commission). Evaluation/Analysis: Attached please find the Revocable Permit Application and the pictures submitted for an awning on the face of the building located at 406 Union Street, Schenectady, NY. Recommendation: Authorize the Issuance of Revocable Permit No. 611 to Reynolds Tax Service for an existing Planter and a Sign that will hang over the City right-of-way with a minimum clearance of 8' at 406 Union Street, Schenectady, New York. Mayor City Engineer REVOCABLE PERMIT NO. 611 The City of Schenectady hereby grants Revocable Permit No. 611 to Reynolds Tax Service for an existing planter and the replacement of a sign that will hang over the City right-of-way with a minimum clearance of 8' at 406 Union Street, Schenectady, New York. a) There is an existing Planter in addition to the replacement of a Sign that will hang over the City right-of-way with a minimum clearance of 8' on the face of the building at 406 Union Street, Schenectady, New York b) Reynolds Tax Service shall hold the City, its employees or agents harmless for any damage to the existing Planter and Sign resulting from their acts in performing of their duties. c) So long as the existing Planter and Sign remains in the City right-of-way, Reynolds Tax Service shall carry, at THEIR expense public liability insurance in an amount not less than $1,000,000/$1,000,000 for personal liability and not less than $1,000,000 for property damage in one accident and $2,000,000 in the aggregate.
