Evaluation/Analysis: This equipment is no longer compliant with today’s standards, plagued with breakdowns, has been modified several times and no longer able to supply us with the operating air pressures that is required by safety equipment. Recommendation: I respectfully ask that the Council accept the bid and award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder. LEGISLATION WILL BE PREPARED BY_____________________ 3  PUBLIC NOTICE The City of Schenectady Fire Department is requesting bids from qualified vendors to supply one (1) high pressure breathing air compressor, with fill stations, controls and related connectors. The compressor and fill station may be two (2) separate components. The equipment is to be delivered and installed at the City of Schenectady Fire Department Headquarters at 360 Veeder Avenue, Schenectady, New York 12305. Proposals shall be accompanied with specifications and information that show the equipment meets or exceeds the specifications listed. Bid documents may be obtained from either the City of Schenectady Purchasing Office, City Hall - Room 102, 105 Jay Street, Schenectady, NY 12305 (Hours 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, M-F); or from the Empire State Purchasing Group (www.empirestatebidsystem.com).
