TO BE PLACED ON COUNCIL AGENDA OF: October 25, 2021 Background Information: Upon completion of sidewalk improvements around Jerry Burrell Park it was requested that a section of existing concrete sidewalk on Schenectady Street between the Park and Albany Street be replaced. Separately a parks improvement project was completed at Windsor Terrace Park, unofficially known as Jaylen’s Park which requires the replacement of the existing concrete sidewalks. Funding for this project is to be through the City’s CDBG allocation for public infrastructure. Evaluation/Analysis: The Purchasing Department solicited and received bids for “Sidewalk Replacement on Schenectady Street and Windsor Terrace”. A low responsive base bid was received on October 13, 2021, from New Castle Paving, LLC, of Tory, NY in the total amount of $43,305.00. Financing for this project will be provided through respective codes set up for the this project. Recommendation: Authorize the Mayor to enter into a contract with New Castle Paving, LLC for the "Sidewalk Replacement on Schenectady Street and Windsor Terrace" in the total amount of $43,305.00.
