OPENING Call to Order: Council Vice President Higgs called the meeting to order at 7:07p.m. Roll Call Present: Councilmember Monica Higgs, Councilmember Hope Love, Vice Mayor Shireka McCarthy, Councilmember Kelly Porter, Councilmember Gerald Raynor, Sr., Councilmember Kizzie Scott, Councilmember Gloria Sistrunk It was motioned by Councilmember Sistrunk and seconded by Councilmember Raynor to enter the Closed Session with the City Clerk under §3-305 (1). "(1) To discuss the appointment, employment, assignment, promotion, discipline, demotion, compensation, removal, resignation, or performance evaluation of appointees, employees, or officials over whom this public body has jurisdiction; any other personnel matter that affects one or more specific individuals.” The City Council, and the City Clerk met in a Closed Session for the purpose § 3-305(b) "(1) To discuss the appointment, employment, assignment, promotion, discipline, demotion, compensation, removal, resignation, or performance evaluation of appointees, employees, or officials over whom this public body has jurisdiction; any other personnel matter that affects one or more specific individuals.” The Closed Session was held via Zoom Webinar. Purpose: To discuss the filling of the City Manager position on Interim basis.
