CALL TO ORDER: The Arts, Culture & Library Advisory Committee meeting called to order at 5:38pm.
ROLL CALL: Rita Palomino Marlow, Josef Serpe, Andrea Arellano, Isabelle Kerner, Don Simon
ABSENT:, Tricia Nielsen
STAFF LIAISON: Nicole Jones, Recreation Manager
ALSO PRESENT: Erik Mathews; King County Library System, Jessica Ramirez; Special Events Coordinator,
Jim Todd; Community member
APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Minutes dated February 11, 2026, were approved unanimously.
LIBRARY REPORT: The library offered a new program, a Lunar New Year Craft series, there was good
turnout. Little Labs, DIY Teen-zines are also starting up. There is a Japanese ink painting program on April 4th.
The KCLS Rewind adult library challenge has kicked off, participants have an opportunity at winning prizes
when activities are completed, booklet available for pickup at local branch. The Central Sorter for KCLS is
going to be replaced in April.
TRAILER WRAP ART REVIEW: Jessica shared the list of applicants for the Trailer Art RFP. Committee
members reviewed the applications and scored them based on the criteria listed in the RFP.
SPECIAL EVENTS: Jessica shared events happening in April, the Egg Hunt on April 4th and Earth Day on
April 25th.
OPEN FORUM: Public Works is hosting a recycle event for the community on April 29th near North SeaTac
Park. Jim shared community art project for anyone to participate in, he brought squares for committee members
to color if interested.
