MEETING MINUTES OF: TUESDAY JANUARY 10, 2023 - 9:00 AM
As Approved by the City Council at their regular meeting of January 17, 2023
The City Council Special Meeting Closed Session was held via teleconference pursuant to AB 361. Pursuant to AB
361 (2021), Teleconference Restrictions of the Brown Act Have Been Suspended, as Well as the Requirement to
Provide a Physical Location for Members of the Public to Participate in the Meeting. The City of Sebastopol City
Council meeting was not be physically open to the public and all City Council Members teleconferenced into the
meeting via Zoom.

CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Hinton called the Special Meeting Closed Session to order at 9:02 am.

This is a Special Meeting, pursuant to provisions of Government Code §54957, this is the time provided for
members of the public to address the City Council regarding matters of municipal concern for the item listed below
(maximum of three minutes per speaker) prior to adjournment into Closed Session.
There was no public comment.
Mayor Hinton adjourned the open meeting at 9:03 am to the Closed Session on the Following Matters.

Government Code Section 54953.
(a) All meetings of the legislative body of a local agency shall be open and public, and all persons shall be permitted to attend any meeting
of the legislative body of a local agency, except as otherwise provided in this chapter.
(b) (1) Notwithstanding any other provision of law, the legislative body of a local agency may use teleconferencing for the benefit of the
public and the legislative body of a local agency in connection with any meeting or proceeding authorized by law. The teleconferenced
meeting or proceeding shall comply with all requirements of this chapter and all otherwise applicable provisions of law relating to a specific
type of meeting or proceeding.
(2) Teleconferencing, as authorized by this section, may be used for all purposes in connection with any meeting within the subject matter
jurisdiction of the legislative body. All votes taken during a teleconferenced meeting shall be by rollcall.
