Council Minutes May 15, 2024 City Hall Council Chambers The Council of the City of Shaker Heights met in a special meeting at 5:02 p.m., Vice Mayor Ms. Carmella Williams presiding. Council Members Present: Ms. Anne Williams Ms. Carmella Williams Ms. Bixenstine Mr. Claytor Mr. Malone (arrived at 5:50 p.m.) Mrs. Moore Council Members Absent: Mr. Roeder * * * * Video of this meeting may be found here through May 15, 2027. * * * * At 5:06 p.m. it was moved by Mr. Claytor, and seconded by Ms. Bixenstine that Council go into an executive session to discuss personnel matters, including the appointment, employment, dismissal, discipline, promotion, demotion or compensation of one or more public employees or officials. Roll Call: Ayes: Ms. Anne Williams, Ms. Carmella Williams, Ms. Bixenstine, Mr. Claytor, Mrs. Moore Nays: None Motion Carried * * * * At 8:45 p.m. a special meeting was held. Ordinance No. 24-53, by Ms. Anne Williams, appointing Tenille N. Kaus as a member of Council effective May 17, 2024, to fill the remaining term of Council Member Tres Roeder. It was moved by Ms. Anne Williams, and seconded by Mr. Claytor, that the rule requiring ordinances to be read on three different days be suspended and Ordinance No. 24-53 be placed upon its final enactment.  Roll Call: Ayes: Ms. Anne Williams, Ms. Carmella Williams, Ms. Bixenstine, Mr. Claytor, Mr. Malone, Mrs. Moore Nays: None Motion Carried Moved by Ms. Anne Williams, and seconded by Mr. Claytor, that Ordinance No. 24-53 be enacted as read.
