Council Minutes June 18, 2024 Via Zoom Pursuant to Chapters 113 and 115 of the Codified Ordinances, and Resolution No. 22-29, enacted March 22, 2022. The Council of the City of Shaker Heights met in a special meeting at 12:00 p.m., Mayor David E. Weiss presiding. Council Members Present: Ms. Anne Williams Ms. Carmella Williams Ms. Bixenstine Mr. Claytor Mrs. Kaus Mr. Malone Mrs. Moore Council Members Absent: None * * * * Video of this meeting may be found here through June 18, 2027. * * * * Motion for Liquor Permit Booms Pizza Van Aken LLC 3427 Tuttle Road Chief Administrative Officer Jeri E. Chaikin stated that Booms Pizza is a new business located at the Van Aken district. They were expecting to transfer the liquor license from Michael’s Genuine but that didn’t happen so they had to apply for a new liquor license which is why there was this delay. A number of departments reviewed this request and had no objections. Council does not need to take any action if they have no objections. Council member Mr. Claytor asked if they will be included in the Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area (DORA) district. Economic Development Director Laura Englehart stated that they do fall within the district boundaries and would be eligible to participate if they choose to, but she will find out if any additional actions are required to get them into the DORA.
