DISCUSSION AND ACTION ON REQUEST FOR BELMARK EXPANSION • Sheppard said he had received a request from Belmark to provide financial assistance for their building addition.He said the addition was complete and they did not ask for funding prior to construction of the addition.Their request was to add the addition to the developer’s agreement already in place for the initial building project.The agreement for the initial projectincludeda100%taxrebatefor20years.Sheppardsaidthe$350ktaxincentive given to Timberpro was somewhat similar to this request. DISCUSSION AND ACTION ON PROPOSAL FROM ORION LANDSCAPES • Steve Tuma presentedinformationonhisproposedproject.Hewantstopurchase3acresoflandin theBayLakesIndustrialparkforhislandscapingbusiness.Theproposeddevelopment would include a 2400 S.F. office/workshop building, landscaping display areas, nursery stock area, material storage and equipment storage areas.He intends to move his business to Shawano.The land he desires to purchase is the south 3 acres of parcel #281041100020 and would require a subdivision of the 15-acre parcel at the intersection of Baylakes Road and County Road B. Demolition has begun on several of the former Muehl’s buildings.Asbestos has been removed from the quonset building. UPDATE ON SCEPI ACTIVITY • ThillmanreportedthatNewNorthwasawardeda$302k BEAD Planning grant from the Public Service Commission (PSC) where Shawano County is a part of the group. This grant is to do additional planning for the implementation of broadband infrastructure. NEW BUSINESS TO BE CONSIDERED AT A FUTURE MEETING • None.
