Special Called Council Meeting- August 25, 2022 The following special called council meeting was called to order by Mayor David B. Eaton at 6:30 p.m. with the following councilmembers present: Tom Hardesty, Mike Zoeller, Pam Carter Shane Suttor, and Troy Ethington. Absent: Frank Page. City Attorney: Steven Gregory City Employees Present: Meagan Whitacre Resolution No. 2022-08-25/A Resolution of the City of Shelbyville (the “City”) Authorizing the Execution of a Memorandum of Agreement Between the City and IJW Whiskey Company, LLC, Or Its Designee, Relating to the Acquisition, Construction, Equipping and Installation of a Distillery, Warehouses and Related Assets to Be Located in the City; Agreeing to Undertake the Issuance of Industrial Building Revenue Bonds at the Appropriate Time to Pay the Costs of Acquiring, Constructing, Equipping and Installing Said Facilities; and Taking Other Preliminary Action. Steven Gregory, City Attorney, read a summary of a resolution authorizing the execution of a Memorandum of Agreement between the City and IJW Whiskey Company, LLC, or its designee, relating to the acquisition, construction, equipping and installation of a distillery, warehouses and related assets to be located in the City; agreeing to undertake the issuance of industrial building revenue bonds at the appropriate time to pay the costs of acquiring, constructing, equipping and installing said facilities; and taking other preliminary action. Councilmember Suttor moved to approve the resolution. Seconded by Councilmember Ethington. All voted “aye” and the motion carried. Absent: Councilmember Page. A motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Councilmember Ethington and seconded by Councilmember Zoeller. All voted ‘aye’ and the motion to adjourn carried.
