Approval of Minutes a. October 28th, 2025 Committee Meeting Minutes Motion was made to approve. Motion made by Hintz, Seconded by Kauffman. Voting Yea: Kauffman, Norby, Hintz 2. New Properties a. Nuisance Code Update Clerk/Treasurer Chamberlin and Compliance Officer Schroeder reviewed their proposed changes for the nuisance code. Specific items discussed included certified letters need to sent to both the property owner on record and the property itself fi they are different and if there is a management company known, to them as well. The committee discussed the merit of capping the number of extensions, realizing that there will always be extenuating circumstances that may require more extensions. The committee recommended capping the extensions at 2 extensions unless progress is being made on the abatement. Also discussed was adding in a fee for any extensions requested past the initial 30 days. The committee discussed the benefits of assessing a fee versus a fine and recommended adding in a $75 fee for further extensions. The Nuisance Committee asked City Attorney Kalil to codify the recommended changes and present to them at the February meeting for final review.
