Discussion and Possible Action on Resolution No. 20-18 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SILSBEE, TEXAS AUTHORIZING THE CITY ATTORNEY TO PURSUE ANY LEGAL ACTIONS NECESSARY TO OBTAIN CLEAR TITLE TO LOTS 8 AND 9, BLOCK 43, TOWN OF SILSBEE, HARDIN COUNTY, TEXAS, AS PER THE MAP OR PLAT RECORDED IN VOLUME 1, PAGE 242, MAP AND PLAT RECORDS, HARDIN COUNTY, TEXAS. (City Attorney) 3. Discussion and Possible Action Resolution No. 20-19 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SILSBEE, TEXAS, AMENDING THE DISASTER RISK REDUCTION ADOPTED BY THE CITY AS DESCRIBED IN RESOLUTION 20-07 TO EXPAND THE LIMITS OF THE DISASTER RISK REDUCTION AREA AND FURTHER FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT A CERTAIN AREA OF THE CITY CONTAINS CONDITIONS WHICH ARE DETREMENTAL TO THE PUBLIC HEALTH, SAFETY, AND WELFARE OF THE COMMUNITY DUE TO A HIGH RISK OF FLOODING AND ERROSION AND DESIGNATING THIS AREA AS A DISASTER RISK REDUCTION AREA (DRRA). Discussion and Possible Action on the use of funds from Municipal Court Technology Fund in the amount of $1,673.54 to purchase a scanner and printer for the new Police car. (Judge Sharyn Grisham) 5. Discussion and Possible Action on approving the use of Special Water & Sewer Funds in the amount of $8,960.00 for Hwy 327 Lift Station that has 2 hydromatic self-priming pumps. Both pumps are worn out beyond repair. (Public Works Director) 6. Discussion and Possible Action on Approving the use of Special Water & Sewer Funds in the amount of $13,000.00 for Hendricks Lift Station that has 2 Peabody Barnes self-priming pumps that are needing replaced. (Public Works Director) 7. Discussion and Possible Action on Appointing/Reappointing a Member to the Silsbee Planning & Zoning Board of Directors. Currently Angela Smith. Term expires May 2020. New term will expire May 2022. (Council Member Sue Bard) 8. Discussion and Possible Action on Appointing/Reappointing a Member to the Silsbee Planning & Zoning Board of Directors. Currently Tamika Stimpson-Renfro. Term expires May 2020. New term will expire May 2022. (council Member Chris Barnes) 9. Discussion and Possible Action on Appointing/Reappointing a Member to the Silsbee Zoning Board of Adjustments & Appeals Board of Directors. Currently Eric Foster. Term expires May 2020. New term will expire May 2022. (Council Member Chris Barnes) 10. Discussion and Possible Action on Appointing/Reappointing a Member to the Silsbee Planning & Zoning Board of Directors. Currently David Anderson. Term expires May 2020. New term will expire May 2020. (Council Member Roy Gravis) 11. Discussion and Possible Action on Appointing/Reappointing a Member to the Silsbee Zoning Board of Adjustments & Appeals Board of Directors. Currently Don Muckleroy. Term expires May 2020. New term will expire May 2022. (Council Member Roy Gravis) 12. Discussion and Possible Action on Appointing a new member to the Silsbee Zoning Board of Adjustments & Appeals Board of Directors. Current Board Member moved outside the city limits. Term expires May 2021. New term will expire May 2023. (Council Member Paul Davis) VIII. EXECUTIVE SESSION. 1. Pursuant to Texas Gov’t Code Sect. 551.071(1)(A) to consult with City Attorney on pending or contemplated litigation. a. Dallas J. Barrington, Amber J. Barrington, Taylor R. Hargrave, & Amanda N. Hargrave -VS- City of Silsbee 2. Pursuant to Texas Gov’t Code Section 551.071(2) to Consult with City Attorney on a Legal matter in which the duty of the Attorney to the Governmental Body under the Texas Disciplinary rules of professional conduct of the State of Texas clearly conflicts with this chapter. 3. Pursuant to Texas Gov’t Code Sect. 551.074(a)(1) to deliberate the appointment, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duty, discipline, or dismissal of a Public Officer or Employee. IX.
