A communication was received from Preventative Health Strategies stating their intent to sell a minimum of 500 raffle tickets from June 1, 2012 until September 8, 2012 for a title in fee simple absolute to 75+/- acres of land (S ½, SE ¼ Section of 35-106-49; the approximate value of the land is $210,000.00). Tickets will be sold for $1,000.00 each. If the minimum number of tickets has not been sold by the drawing date, the drawing will be postponed until such a date as the minimum has been achieved. The proceeds will be used for funding for charitable activities within the strategic mission of PHS. Sponsor: SDCL 22-25-25 6. A communication was received from the Children’s Home Society stating their intent to sell raffle tickets on August 5, 2012 for a side of beef (valued at $500.00), a Weber grill (valued at $500.00), and The Gas Stop car wash coupons (valued at $450.00). Tickets will be sold for $5.00 for one or $50.00 for 12. The proceeds will be used for general operating income to support programs and services that CHS provides to over 2,000 children per year. Deferred Action (from the meetings of March 12, 2012 and April 9, 2012): A RESOLUTION ABATING AND REFUNDING STORM DRAINAGE FEE ASSESSMENTS AT PARCEL NO. 53604. Sponsor: Mayor/Public Works A motion was made by Council Member Michelle Erpenbach and seconded by Council Member Sue Aguilar to adopt said Resolution for Item 8. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF SIOUX FALLS, SD: That it gives its advice and consent to the following Mayoral appointments: Name Board Term Jarrod Smart Board of Appeals Appointed for a term from May 2012 to May 2015 (to replace Keith Thompson). Ryan Streff Board of Historic Preservation Appointed for a term from May 2012 to May 2015 (to replace Anita K. Kealey).
