9. A communication was received from Joleen Asmus requesting permission to
consume, but not sell, wine, beer and liquor at the Old Courthouse Museum, 200
W. Sixth St., on Friday, September 12, 2014 from 6:30 p.m. until 10:30 p.m. for a
wedding rehearsal supper.
APPLICATIONS
The following abatement was recommended for approval by the Director of
Equalization and the State's Attorney's Office for Minnehaha County; and the City
Attorney for Sioux Falls:
Item 10: The amount requested is the difference between the elderly freeze and the non-
elderly freeze.
10. Gloria Garry, 617 S. Blauvelt Ave., for 2013 property taxes in the amount of
$235.88.

PUBLIC INPUT
Scott Ehrisman spoke about Paratransit, work being done at the Washington Pavilion of
Arts and Science, the Fourth of July Parade, and the use of City staff and vehicles in the
parade.
Ken Teunissen, with the Military Order of the Purple Heart, thanked the Mayor and City
Council for their service.
Sharon Teunissen spoke about the Fourth of July Parade.
Gregory McKie asked to have an ordinance changed to be able to create a new off leash
dog park.
Robert Kolbe said that a Cultural Committee was discussed at last week's meeting. He
suggested that the historical aspect of the city needed to be represented on that
committee.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS
11. Special One-Day Malt Beverage License for the Movember Foundation to be
operated at Riverdale Park, 2000 East 24th Street, for a Mustache Dache Run on
July 12, 2014, and to authorize publication of the notice on 06-27-14 to set the
hearing date.
A motion was made by Council Member Kenny Anderson Jr. and seconded by Council
Member Dean Karsky to approve Item 11.

NEW BUSINESS
Mayor Mike Huether recognized Sam Olson, a Boy Scout in Troop 152, who is working
on merit badges for his Eagle Scout designation.
Huether also welcomed Gregory McKie to Sioux Falls. He informed McKie of the
various ways to have his issue (off leash dog park) addressed by a committee or through
City Hall.
ADJOURNMENT
A motion was made by Council Member Rex Rolfing and seconded by Council Member
Michelle Erpenbach to adjourn at 7:24 p.m.
Mayor Mike Huether called for a voice vote. All members voted yes.
