MINUTES Monday, January 4, 2010 Informational Meeting 4:00 p.m. at Carnegie Town Hall Sioux Falls City Council 235 West 10th Street Members Present: Kenny Anderson Jr., Vernon Brown, J. Pat Costello, Greg Jamison, De Knudson, Bob Litz, and Kermit Staggers. Members Absent: Gerald Beninga, and Mayor Dave Munson. Staff Present: Debra A. Owen, City Clerk, and Denise D. Tucker, Assistant City Clerk. 1. Call To Order Council Chair J. Pat Costello called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m. 2. City Council Staff Report A. Updates by Debra A. Owen, City Clerk 3. Mayor Munson No report. 4. Audit Committee No report. 5. Fiscal Committee No report or Fiscal Committee Meeting today. 6. Land Use Committee No report. 7. Public Services Committee Brown said there will a meeting next week after the Informational. He said the agenda is still being determined. 8. City Council Open Discussion There was no discussion. 9. Presentations A. Monthly Financial Update by Eugene Rowenhorst, Finance Director Monthly Report B. Snow Removal Update by Mark Cotter, Director of Public Works  Cotter provided an update on the recent winter snow storm. He provided information from the National Weather Service. Cotter said two storm fronts came through and the city received 21.5 inches of snow. Sioux Falls hasn’t received that much snow since the 1960’s. Cotter recognized and introduced some of his staff, who were instrumental in the snow removal operation. Discussion followed. Lynn Harrington, Street Maintenance Supervisor, provided information on the process of getting ready for the recent storm. Discussion followed. Costello said they are going to defer having an Executive Session to discuss a personnel item until next Monday. Knudson inquired about Campaign Finance Disclosure forms. Discussion followed. 10.
