MINUTES Monday, April 25, 2011 Informational Meeting 4:00 PM at Carnegie Town Hall Sioux Falls City Council 235 West Tenth Street Members Present: Sue Aguilar, Kenny Anderson Jr., Vernon Brown, James Entenman, Michelle Erpenbach, Greg Jamison, Dean Karsky, Rex Rolfing, Mike T. Huether Members Absent: None. Staff Present: Debra A. Owen, City Clerk/Chief of Council Operations; Denise D. Tucker, CMC, Assistant City Clerk 1. Call To Order Council Chair Greg Jamison called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m. 2. City Council Staff Report A. Debra A. Owen, City Clerk/Chief of Council Operations No report. Owen wished her son, Gentry, a Happy 6th Birthday. 3. City Council Open Discussion Brown stated he had a 5:30 p.m. meeting and would be leaving early. Anderson Jr. said he attended the First Premier/Lutheran Social Services Mentoring Awards program, last week. He said it is a wonderful program that they have for helping kids at risk. Erpenbach said the Land Use Committee would meet after this meeting. If they are short on time they would review the first item on the agenda, the Rental Housing Registration Process. She said they would probably defer the Transit Routes Update and the Chapter 24, Licensed Manufactured Home Parks Ordinance Amendment Proposal. Aguilar said there was no time for questions following the Mayor's presentation last week. She wanted to know if the Council wanted to ask any questions before the presentations. 4. Presentations A. 11-03 Railroad Relocation Fund Internal Audit Report by Rich Oksol, Lead Internal Auditor B. Events Center Comparative Site Analysis and Economic and Development Impact Analysis Reports by Don Dethlefs, Sink Combs Dethlefs; Dan Mehls, Mortenson Construction; and David Stone, AECOM Technical Services Councilor Vernon Brown left the meeting at 5:00 p.m. Erpenbach said the Land Use Committee Meeting was cancelled. And the items would be deferred to their meeting on May 31st. 5. Adjournment Council Chair Jamison adjourned the meeting at 5:43 p.m. Denise D. Tucker, CMC Assistant City Clerk
