MINUTES Tuesday, October 2, 2012 Informational Meeting 4:00 PM at Carnegie Town Hall Sioux Falls City Council 235 West Tenth Street Members Present: Sue Aguilar, Kenny Anderson Jr., James Entenman, Greg Jamison, Dean Karsky, Rex Rolfing, Kermit L. Staggers, Mike T. Huether Members Absent: Michelle Erpenbach Staff Present: Lorie Hogstad, City Clerk; Jim David, Legislative/Operations Manager; Dave Bixler, Budget Analyst; and Rich Oksol, Lead Internal Auditor 1. Call To Order Council Vice Chair Jim Entenman called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m. He said Council Chair Michelle Erpenbach is attending the South Dakota Municipal League Conference. 2. Land Use Committee A. Report on meeting held Tuesday, September 18, 2012 Council Member Rex Rolfing, Chair of the Land Use Committee, stated that the items discussed at this meeting included the vicious dog ordinance revision, the country club ordinance, due process, and zoning ordinance amendments. 3. City Council Open Discussion Council Member Dean Karsky stated there will be a Fiscal Committee Meeting following the Informational Meeting with one agenda item regarding the CIP budget process. Karsky and Council Member Greg Jamison were tasked with improving this process. Jamison stated the Audit Committee will meet on Thursday, October 4, 2012, at 4:00 p.m. 4. Presentations A. 2013 Convention and Visitor's Bureau Bid Board Budget by Mike Cooper, Director of Planning and Building Services; Tracy Turbak, Finance Director; and Teri Ellis Schmidt, Executive Director for CVB.  Mike Cooper, Director of Planning and Building Services, led the introduction of this presentation. Cooper stated that he serves as the City liaison for the Convention and Visitor's Bureau. Teri Ellis Schmidt, Executive Director of the Convention and Visitor's Bureau, made a presentation to the Council. A question and answer period followed. 5.
