MINUTES Tuesday, March 26, 2013 Informational Meeting 4:00 PM at Carnegie Town Hall Sioux Falls City Council 235 West Tenth Street Members Present: Sue Aguilar, Kenny Anderson Jr., James Entenman, Michelle Erpenbach, Greg Jamison, Dean Karsky, Rex Rolfing, Kermit L. Staggers, Mike T. Huether Members Absent: None Staff Present: Denise D. Tucker, CMC, Assistant City Clerk; Lorie Hogstad, CMC, City Clerk; David Bixler, Budget Analyst; Jim David, Legislative/Operations Manager 1. Call To Order Council Chair Michelle Erpenbach called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m. 2. Land Use Committee A. Report on meeting held Tuesday, March 19, 2013 Councilor Rex Rolfing gave an update on the Land Use Committee Meeting. He said Chad Huwe, City Engineer, discussed the proposed changes for "The Acceptance Procedures and Requirements for Private Construction of Public Improvements". Rolfing used McDonald's, 41st Street and Minnesota Avenue, and their deceleration and acceleration lanes, as an example. The new proposed procedures pertain to regulations regarding the construction of such lanes. This item was forwarded to the City Council Meeting of Tuesday, April 9, 2013. 3. City Council Open Discussion Councilor Kermit Staggers said there will be a snow gate report at the Informational Meeting on April 2, 2013. Erpenbach said the new Free Landfill Passes will be mailed, to residents, on Friday. The pass is good until June 29, 2013. 5. Presentations A. Monthly Events Center Project Update by the Administration Mark Cotter, Director of Public Works, provided a design and construction update. Mike Cooper, Director of Planning and Building Services, discussed event parking  coordination. Darrin Smith, Director of Community Development/Public Parking, spoke about premium seating/sponsorships. Tracy Turbak, Director of Finance, provided a financial summary for the project.
